What is "free pitching" and how does it effect the industry as a whole?  Free pitching is when someone provides their design services without payment. As a whole free pitching is bad for the design industry. If we start to hand out our ideas for free it lowers the worth of our ideas.  Why is it important to have a code of ethics in the Graphic Design industry?  Ethics is important because it is the moral standing of any topic. Johari results: From what I can tell by looking at the results of the Johari Window Tool I can see immediately that other people have selected a wide array of attributes. What attributes described in Johari Window exercise do you see as key to dealing with clients?  Helpful, calm, trustworthy, patient, kind. What attributes are key to dealing with your colleagues?  Trustworthy, sensible, patient, helpful, calm. What attributes are key to dealing with yourself?  Happy, loving, patient, independant. What attributes are key to dealing with your boss?  Kind, clever, trustworthy, sensible, ingenious. How does your version of the Johari Window differ from your friends/close contacts? My version of the Johari Window compared to others was quite similar for the most part. Homework Week 3

This week we are tasked with designing a logo for a media brand. Below are pictures of my process through the "Create a logo design contest". Based on all of these results I have created two different logos. Below is the resume template I designed.

Week 3 Workshop

During the workshop we worked in groups and looked at who the primary and secondary stakeholders of the road safety brief were. We created out own personas based off of the primay stakeholders and presented them to the class. The persona that I developed was a primary school teacher volunteering as a lollipop person before and after school hours.

Homework Week 2

What is my personality type? The results I got from the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test were consistent with the ISTJ personality type. ISTJ stands for Introvert, Sensing, Thinking and Judging. It appears that I am: 47% Introvert 22% Sensing 12% Thinking 41% Judging What other famous people share this personality type? According to josephchris.com  the following celebrities have the same personality type as me: Pope Benedict XVI Natalie Portman Queen Elizabeth II George Washington Richard Nixon Looking at the above selection of people I immediately notice that most of them have influence in politics and acting.  Was I surprised by the test results? At first the results were a surprise however, the more I look into what having this personality type means and other people who are associated with this personality type I'm beginning to understand why.
